 Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
Upon arrival at Delhi late in the evening, you will receive a genial welcome from our tour representative. From here he will escort you to the hotel for night stay. This day marks the beginning of India Nepal Buddhist Tour, India for you.
Day 02 : Delhi
Today you will be visiting the famous tourist attractions of Old and New Delhi. Some of the tourist sites that will leave you awestruck and absolutely mesmerized include Jama Masjid (Asia’s Biggest Mosque), Red Fort, Raj Ghat (Gandhi Memorial), India Gate, Parliament House, Humayun’ s Tomb and Qutab Minar. You will be staying overnight at the hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi / Kathmandu
Today as a part of the India Nepal Buddhist Tour Packages, you will be flying to Kathmandu. On reaching, you will get the assistance of the tour executive. He will take you to the hotel for night stay.
Day 04 : Kathmandu
In the morning, you will be going to visit highly revered and most venerated Buddhist shrine called Sayambhunath Stupa. This Buddhist shrine is around 2000 years old. In this shrine, you get to see the eyes of Lord Buddha painted all over the base of the spire. This Buddha shrine is located 3 km west of the city of Kathmandu. It is perched on an idyllic hillock that commands the breathtaking diorama of the valley. You are sure to enjoy your visit to this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next in the list is Bouddhanath Stupa. This tourist site is around 8 km from Kathmandu. It has made its place among the largest stupas of the world. Also, considered as the center of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal, this stupa finds its name in the UNESCO World Heritage Monument List. The 3rd spot that features in the list of the India Nepal Buddhist Tour is a noted Hindu shrine known as Pasupatinath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. You will be attracted to the two layered gilded roof and silver door of the shrine. In fact from the eastern bank of the Bagmati River if you would look at the rituals that are performed in the temple, you are sure to feel heavenly bliss. This noted Hindu Shrine also falls under UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will be returning to the hotel for night stay.
Day 05 : Kathmandu
India Nepal Buddhist Tour Itineraries have brought for you a tour to Patan City today. In the evening, you are free to explore the magical beauty of the surrounding region all by your own. Your dinner and overnight stay arrangements are made at the hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 06 : Kathmandu / Chitwan
On day 6, you will be moving towards Chitwan. The 5 hrs long drive will start after breakfast. Upon arrival, you will put up in the Hotel Jungle Lodge. During noon time, you can indulge in interesting and exciting jungle activities. The jeep or canter safari will prove to be very entertaining. You will be accompanied by a naturalist in the safari. Return to the lodge for night stay.
Day 07 : Chitwan/ Lumbini
Today the run would be of 170 km. covering this distance, you will arrive at Lumbini. Here you will check in at the hotel after which the sightseeing tour would start. You will stay at the hotel for night.
Day 08 : Lumbini / Kushinagar
You will depart from Lumbini to get to Kushinagar. On arriving at Kushinagar, you will sign in at the hotel. In the later part of the day, you will be sightseeing in the city and acclimating to its surroundings. However towards the end of the day you will retreat to your hotel for night stay.
Day 09 : Kushinagar / Patna
Have your breakfast and then leave for Patna. On this day of the India Nepal Buddhist Tour, you will be visiting another fascinating Buddhist destination. You will reach Patna thru Vaishali. Patna holds an important position among all the other Buddhist sites as it is the place where The Lord is believed to have given his last sermon and received Nirwana or salvation. You will also be seeing the majestic Ashok Pillar, Lotus Tank and Chaumukhi.
Day 10 : Patna /Rajgir/Bodhgaya
Post breakfast, you will check out of the hotel in Patna and start for Bodhgaya. On the way to Bodhgaya, you will visit another popular destination and prominent Buddhist site called Nalanda and Rajgiri. On reaching Bodhgaya, you will enter a hotel for night stay.
Day 11 : Bodhgaya
India Nepal Buddhist Tour Itineraries feature a sightseeing tour in Bodhgaya today. Post breakfast, you will proceed to Niranjana River and temple. In Bodhgaya, you will feel peace of mind and soul. The environment of this place is so serene and calm that you are sure to realize a mental peace. Bodhgaya is touted to be a spiritual abode for the Buddhists. It is in this Buddhist Pilgrimage Center that you will get to know about the enlightenment lord Buddha had attained beneath the Bodhi tree.
Day 12 : Bodgaya / Gaya/ Delhi
On the 12th day you will be transferred to Gaya Railway Station on time to catch train to Delhi. It will be an overnight journey.
Day 13 : Arival Delhi
On arrival, you will be taken to the hotel in Delhi. After freshening up, you will leave for the International Airport to board a flight to next destination. With this your India Nepal Buddhist Tour will also come to an end.
