Day 01 : Mumbai
Kerala Backwater Tours kick starts with your arrival in Mumbai where you will be given a warm welcome by our tour representative who will also ensure your safe transit from the airport to the hotel. You will be able to spend the rest of the day at leisure. You will be spending the night at the hotel.

Day 02 : Mumbai
With many interesting attractions to boast of, Mumbai is an experience you will never forget. As the entertainment and commercial capital of the country, Mumbai is an eclectic blend of modernity and tradition. It is this unique synthesis of the apparently disparate elements that adds to the appeal and charm of Mumbai. Your Mumbai tour with Jet World Holidays will incorporate visits to the popular landmarks of the city like the Gateway of India, Elephanta Caves, Chowpatty Beach and the Prince of Wales Museum. You will be returning for an overnight stay at your hotel in Mumbai.

Kerala Backwater ToursDay 03 : Trivandrum - Kovalam
On the third day of Kerala Backwater Tours, you will be transferred to the airport to catch the flight bound for Trivandrum, now referred to as Thiruvananthapuram, the capital of Kerala. On reaching Trivandrum, you will be whisked to a hotel in Kovalam, which is attained the status of a popular beach holiday destination in Kerala. From thrilling water sports to lazy beach saunters, Kovalam offers a plethora of beach activities for you to keep yourself busy with. You can also make the most of the rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapies that are offered at the treatment center located in close proximity. Your night stay is scheduled in Kovalam.

Day 04 : Kovalam - Cape Comorin - Kovalam
On the fourth day of the Kerala Backwater Tours, you will be spending a laid back day on the beach amidst the verdant environs that bring succor to the scarred souls. This followed by a travel to Cape Camorin or Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of the country. You will also be visiting the Padmanabhapuram Palace and the Archeological museum before returning to Kovalam for an overnight stay.

Day 05 : Kovalam - Varkala
Enjoy a scrumptious breakfast before traveling to Varkala, one of the most frequented beach retreats in Kerala. Complete with a beautiful beach and a tranquil ambience, Varkala is a utopian hideaway for jaded travelers looking forward to evade the din of the city life. You are required to check into a hotel on arrival in Varkala. You have the rest of the day to yourself. You might choose to relax avail of some traditional massages and therapies. The night is to be spent in Varkala.

Day 06 : Varkala - Kumarakom
On the sixth day of the Kerala Backwater Tours, you will be traveling to Kumarakom by a speedboat. Renowned for the presence of a bird sanctuary, Kumarakom is an oasis of serenity that comforts both body and soul. Kumarakom is a place well-worth a visit. Its charm and appeal is accentuated by the presence of the mangrove forests and the vast expanses of paddy fields. On your arrival, you are required to check into the hotel. You can spend the rest of the day at leisure. The night is to be spent in Kumarakom.

Day 07 : Kumarakom
As part of your tour to Kumarakom, you will get to indulge in exhilarating backwater cruises complemented by bird watching tours to the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. You will be returning to Kumarakom for an overnight stay. You can also indulge in a good number of windsailing and water skiing exercises or canoe ride over the lake. The night is to be spent in Kumarakom.

Day 08 : Kumarakom - Periyar
As part of the Kerala Backwater Tour, you will be traveling to Periyar. Known for its National Park, Periyar is punctuated with many delightful rubber estates and tea and spice plantations. You are required to check into the hotel on arrival and relax for the remaining part of the day.

Day 9 : Periyar
Kerala Backwater Tours On the ninth day of the Kerala Backwater Tour, you get to visit the much famed Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to explore its rich flora and fauna. You are required to trek through the forest and see a wide variety of birds and animals. You will also visit a spice plantation besides enjoying a boat safari on the Periyar Lake that will allow you to enjoy a wonderful view of the wild elephants and other animals in their natural habitat. You will get to spend the night in Periyar.

Day 10 - 11 : Periyar - Kottayam - Backwater
On the tenth day of the tour you will be comfortably transferred to Kottayam following breakfast. On your arrival, you will be boarding a houseboat and embarking on a memorable journey. You will get to enjoy two full days on board the houseboat that cruise its way through the sleepy backwaters of Kerala to Alleppey.

Day 12 : Allepey - Cochin
On arrival in Alleppey, transfer to a hotel in Cochin. Relax awhile before embarking on a sightseeing tour of the city. Visit tourist attractions like the Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace and St. Francis Church besides other tourist attractions. Also enjoy a Kathakali dance performance in the evening before returning for an overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 13 : Cochin - Calicut
As part of the Kerala Backwaters tour, you will be heading for Calicut (now called Kozhikode) post-breakfast. When Vasco da Gama arrived in India for the first time in 1458 from Europe, Calicut was the place he set his foot on. On your arrival in Calicut, you are required to check-in at the hotel and rest for a while. Later in the day, you will get to enjoy a sightseeing tour of Kozhikode (Calicut) and pay visit to the tourist hotspots like the Art Gallery, Pazhassiraja Museum and Krishna Art Museum. After your Kozhikode tour, you will be returning to the hotel for night stay.

Day 14 : Calicut - Treehouse
You will be visiting the Treehouse resort, which is a place where Nature reveals herself at her beauteous best. You will be required to put up at the houses built on trees with eco-friendly material. The Treehouse is located at a distance of 65 km from Calicut (Kozhikode) en-route Ooty-Mysore highway.

Day 15 : Treehouse
On the fifteenth day of the Kerala backwater tour, you will be embarking on an exploratory trip of the nearby area. Loll in the lap of nature and soak in the sights and sounds. Those who have a penchant for photography can also look forward to having a great time. You will be spending the night at the Treehouse resort.

Day 16 : Treehouse - Ooty

This picturesque hill station is truly a place worth visiting at least once during your travel to South India. You need to check into a hotel upon arrival and stay there for the night.

Day 17: Ooty
Sitting prettily amidst the Nilgiri Hills of Tamil Nadu, Ooty or Udagamandalam casts a spell on the visitors with its rolling hills, swiftly gushing brooks and gorgeous waterfalls. It is indeed a place that you would love coming back to. You may also opt for a sightseeing tour of Ooty or indulge in a satisfying shopping experience. The night is to be spent in Ooty.

Day 18: Ooty - Mysore
On the eighteenth day morning, you will be leaving for Mysore in the morning. On your arrival, you will be checking-in at the hotel and catch some rest. Later, you will be embarking on a guided sightseeing tour that will help you to get acquainted with the city better. Overnight stay is scheduled at Mysore.

Day 19: Mysore - Bangalore
After a morning sightseeing tour of Mysore, you will be leaving for Bangalore. Upon arrival, you need to check into a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 20: Bangalore - Mumbai
This day brings to an end your 16-20 day tour. You will be enjoying a morning sightseeing tour of Bangalore. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport to catch a flight to Mumbai. On your arrival in Mumbai, you need to check-in at the hotel where you can rest for a few hours. Domestic travelers are transported to the airport to board the flight back home. If you are an international traveler, you will be taken to the airport after dinner to board an International flight.
