Day 01 : Arrival Gaya - Bodhgaya
The Golden Triangle of Buddhist Tour kicks off with your arrival at Gaya from Bangkok. You will be provided complete assistance in your transference to the hotel. The latter half of the day will be taken up by sightseeing tours that includes visits the popular tourist highlights like the Thai Temple, Mahabodhi Temple and Bodhi Tree. You will be required to spend the night at Gaya.
Day 02 : Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna
Post breakfast, you will be proceeding towards Patna by road. Along the way, you get to visit Rajgir which is famed for its beauty. The small hill grit town is covered with a blanket of green which accentuates the appeal of the place.
The ruins of the Nalanda University are one of the major highlights of the place. Nalanda was visited by Buddha several times but it rose to importance much later during 5th-12th centuries. On your arrival, you are required to check in at the hotel where you get to spend the night.
Day 03 : Patna - Vaishali - Kushinagar
After having your breakfast, you will be driving towards Kushinagar. Along the way, you will be visiting Vaishali that, according to the epic Ramayana, was ruled by the valiant King Vishal. On your arrival, you will be required to check into the Hotel.
Day 04 : Kushinagar - Varanasi
Post-breakfast, on the fourth day of your Golden Triangle of Buddhist Tour, you will be out on a sightseeing tour of Kushinagar. This is followed by a drive to Varanasi. You will be required to spend the night here.
Day 05 : Varanasi
The fifth day morning will find you driving through, Varanasi, also referred to as the city of Ghats (stone steps). You will then be embarking on an exhilarating boat excursion on the Ganges.
After enjoying your breakfast, you will be visiting Sarnath situated at a distance of about 10 kms from the holy city of Varanasi. The afternoon is slated for visits to the major landmarks of the Varanasi city that comprise of the Vishwanath Temple and The Dugra Temple. A visit to the Benaras Hindu University housing an art gallery and a marble temple is also a must. You will be spending the night in the city itself.
Day 06 : Varanasi - Bangkok
It is time to wrap up the Golden Triangle of Buddhist Tour on the sixth day. Post breakfast, you will be transferred to the Varanasi Airport to catch the flight back home.
