Day 01 : Ahmedabad - Sayla
On arriving at Ahmedabad on day 1 of the Wildlife and Heritage of Gujarat, India you will receive a cordial welcome from the tour executive. From here you will head for Sayla. Later in the afternoon, you will be visiting Latura which is a natural habitat of the Asiatic Wild Ass.
Ahemdabad is perched on the pristine banks of Sabarmati River. In the yester years, Ahemdabad was appointed as the capital of the state of Gujarat. Today along with being the largest city of Gujarat, Ahmedabad is also regarded as the major commercial hub of India. Both the business and the pleasure travelers visit this city of Ahmedabad on a frequent basis.
You will be staying overnight in the hotel.
Day 02 : Sayla- Gir
On day 2 you will be heading for Gir. On the way, you will also visit Junagarh which abounds in famous tourist attractions like Uparkot Fort, Buddhist caves, 3rd century BC Ashoka rock inscriptions, the palace museum which showcases Nawabi treasures and the imposing mausoleum complexes.
Later in the afternoon, you will be taken to the Gir Birding Lodge. After a sumptuous lunch, you will set off for a jungle safari to the famous Gir National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary.
Savor the delicious dinner and stay overnight in the hotel.
Day 03 and 04 : Gir National Park And Wildlife Sanctuary
The 3rd and the 4th days of the Wildlife and Heritage of Gujarat Tour Packages feature for you a daylong sightseeing tour in the Gir Forests. Gir, the deciduous jungle of Gujarat, is considered as the last habitat of the Asiatic lion. You will come across ferocious large cats, leopard, deer, sambar, blue bull antelope, chinkara gazelle, four horned antelope, wild boar and other wildlife species in the forest. Gir Forest is also populous with exotic avian species. On a visit to Gir, you are also recommended to spare some time for Somnath – a highly venerated shore temple. Somnath Temple is counted among the 12 sacred abodes of Lord Shiva. From here, you can also move towards renowned Sun Temple, Ahilya Temple and other landmarks.
Take dinner and stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 05 : Ahmedabad - Rajkot
On this last day of the Wildlife and Heritage of Gujarat tour, you will be transferred back to Ahmedabad or Rajkot. From here you will be catching a flight back home.
