Ranthambore National Park Rajasthan

Ranthambore National Park RajasthanDeclared a sanctuary in 1955, a tiger reserve in 1973 and a national park in 1981, the Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan is situated in Rajasthan, near the town of Sawai Madhopur, between Bharatpur and Kota townships. A former hunting ground for the Maharaja of Jaipur, it is today considered as one of the best wildlife destinations in India. Spanning over an area of 400 sq km, the park on the eastern edge of the Thar Desert has been built around the Ranthambore Fort. Playing home to a bulk of the wildlife in India, it is the cynosure of many tourists and nature lovers around the world.

Flora:
In Ranthambore National Park, Rajasthan there is a large population of deciduous forests comprising Dhok or Anogeissus pendula, Acacia, Ber and Salar. Also, the Banyan and Peepal trees form an important section of the plant habitat in the park.

Fauna:
